About rep.et

What is HOPR?

The House of Peoples' Representatives (HOPR) is the lower chamber of the Federal Parliamentary Assembly of Ethiopia. It is the highest legislative body in the country, with members directly elected by the people from 547 constituencies across Ethiopia's regions. Representatives serve five-year terms and are responsible for enacting legislation, approving the federal budget, and overseeing the executive branch.

What This Site Does

rep.et helps citizens find their elected representative in the House of Peoples' Representatives. You can use your device's location to find the nearest constituency, search by name or location, or browse representatives by region and party. The site covers the 471 constituency results from the 6th National Election.

Data Source

The data presented on this site was collected from the official 6th National Election results published by the National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE).

The geographic coordinates for each constituency were geocoded from constituency names. These are approximate point locations, not official boundary data. As a result, the "find your representative" feature uses a nearest-point approximation and may not be perfectly accurate at constituency borders.
